III Palms Server Job Description/Requirements

Job Description:
•Must have a passion for people, food, and memorable experiences
•Responsible for having a strong food knowledge base, detailed

understanding, and memorization of all menu items including all alcoholic

and non-alcoholic drinks, food items, and chef-driven features.
•Offer warm and hospitable greeting to guests, interact well with teammates
•Suggestively offers beverages and menu items
•Attends daily pre-shift meeting to learn any essential information, as well as

attending any other scheduled meetings
•Positive, courteous, and professional in all areas of the restaurant
•Completes all assigned pre/post service side duties in an organized and

timely manner
•Stocking, and polishing silver, glass, and dishware, setting tables to specific

standards prior to service
•Clearing and manicuring tables with a crumb sweep throughout guests

dining experience
•Must be able to make recommendations and answer questions regarding dish

preparations.
•Communicates clearly and effectively with management, Chefs, or team of

any observations that may affect quality or timing of service.
•Prior experience in "coursed dining" a plus.
•Compliance with any local or state laws as well as strict adherence to

company policy
•Responsible service of alcohol - TABC Certified
•Utilizes POS (toast experience a plus) to ring in all items, presents check and

processes payment in a timely and accurate manner
•Must be willing to ask for help with whatever may arise to help the team and

or guests
•Must take initiative to exceed guests expectations

Requirements:
•High-School Diploma
•Ability to stand for 6-8 hours
•Effective and professional communication skills
•Interest in creating memorable experiences
•Minimum 1 year experience as a server (Fine dining experience preferred)
•TABC/ Texas Food Handler's permit
•Basic Beer/wine/ and spirits knowledge
•Basic Steak/Chop/ and seafood knowledge
•PM availability
•Must be able to memorize menus, with a commitment to continued learning
•Strong initiative
