DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The Project & Facilities Management Department (PFM) is a multi-disciplined department providing comprehensive building and facilities services for San Bernardino County, managing over 250 facilities including Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Fire District, Sheriff, Probation, and others. The Project Management team focuses on timely, cost-effective project delivery, quality improvements, and innovative solutions, managing projects from concept through occupancy. The Facilities Management team oversees operations, maintenance, landscaping, and custodial services for County-owned facilities. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Applicants must pass background checks, physical exams, and drug tests. Travel throughout the County is required, with a valid California Class C driver license necessary. The position involves physical demands and exposure to various environmental conditions. County sponsorship for visas is not available. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Three years of project management experience on multiple capital projects and an Associate Degree or higher in relevant fields. Education substitutions are available with additional experience or completion of apprenticeship programs. Preferred qualifications include leadership skills, construction project management experience, and a Bachelors Degree in related fields. Five or more years of project management experience is ideal.
