Engineering Internship Clearfield, Utah Facility

Utility Trailer is the leading trailer manufacturer of quality, light Weight, high value dry vans, reefers (refrigerated vans) flatbeds and customizable commercial trailers in the world. Our Clearfield, Utah plant is currently accepting applications for a Mechanical and or Industrial Engineering Intern.

Day Shift - Monday through Friday, 7:30AM through 4:00PM (Full time in the summer, willing to work with school schedules)

Job Responsibility:

• Ability to problem solve and support continuous improvement activities.
• Assist in preparing for future projects by requesting the purchase of needed materials, parts, and equipment.
• Obtain and analyze technical information.
• Works with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Willing to learn design and improve manufacturing methods.
• Willing to learn automated equipment and troubleshoot processes.
• Willing to learn how to evaluate and implement cost savings opportunities for the equipment and facility.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

• Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical and or Industrial Engineering.
• Some experience in welding is a plus.
• Ability to be a self-starter, be self-directed, and take initiative to move forward with ideas; must be able to work with and influence others.
• Some experience in programming in robotics and controls is a plus.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
