Location Profile:Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, a part of the Engineered Products Group, is among the world's leading manufacturers specializing in the design and production of sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems and devices, solving difficult engineering and critical performance problems.Position Summary:The Mechanical Design Engineer is mathematically and mechanically minded with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, possessing detailed knowledge of engineering and design principles and able to find creative solutions to technical problems. The Mechanical Design Engineer meets with external clients to determine design requirements, plans and executes the design of mechanical devices, develops and test prototypes, and works closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure that design specifications are met. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.Conducting research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems.Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.Coordinating with internal and external clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.Required Skills:Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional time management and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Attentive to detail and critically minded.Ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.Required Experience:A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer in the aerospace industry.Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks.Level of Education:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.PE certification is preferred./*generated inline style */ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /*generated inline style */ For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $113,700 to $170,500 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1.25X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter .
