Job Title : Data Modeler (Platform Modernization)

Job Description

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of proven experience as a Data Modeler in a larger enterprise environment.

  • Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar tools.

  • Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling concepts and techniques.

  • Experience developing data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize data structures and improve data quality and performance.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data-driven decision-making and business processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models using tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, and other data modeling tools.

  • Design and implement data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and data quality.

  • Analyze and optimize existing data structures, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance data integrity and performance.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and other technical teams to implement data models into production environments.

  • Develop data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation to facilitate data governance and compliance efforts.

  • Conduct data modeling workshops and training sessions for team members and stakeholders to promote data modeling best practices and standards.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and data architecture and recommend innovative solutions to improve data management processes.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of SAP ECC (Enterprise Central Component) and experience working with SAP data models.
