Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will support the accounting department by preparing and posting general ledger entries, managing accounts payable, and processing accounts receivable transactions. With a bachelors degree in accounting (or related field) and at least 1 year of experience, you will help maintain accurate records of the companys assets and liabilities while growing your skills in the accounting profession.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger by preparing, posting, and reconciling transactions.
- Post accounts payable invoices, match invoices with purchase order receipts, set up new vendors, and reconcile vendor accounts.
- Communicate with vendors regarding any invoicing discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
- Post customer payments, communicate with customers regarding unpaid invoices, and respond to customer inquiries about invoicing discrepancies.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Support the monthly close process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (can include internship or co-op)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
- Experience with NetSuite (or similar system) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (v look up, macros, formulas)
- Strong skills in working with spreadsheets and large data sets.
- Team player who excels in executing repetitive tasks with accuracy and autonomy
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changes, and communicate effectively
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Brief periods of standing, bending, reaching and occasional light lifting required.
- Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, etc.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
