Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Occupational Therapists are needed for contract positions in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, VA, serving elementary and all-level school populations. These roles provide a unique opportunity to support student development within public school settings from August through June in varied educational environments. Location & Schedule: Virginia Beach, VA (Glenwood Elementary School) Duration: August 11 June 15 (school year) Hours: Approximately 7.33 hours per day, five days per week Student Age Group: Elementary level Chesapeake, VA (Camelot, Joliff, Grassfield Schools) Duration: August 25 June 17 (school year) Hours: Approximately 7.33 hours per day, five days per week Student Age Group: All levels Key Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes Implement age-appropriate interventions to improve students' functional abilities in school settings Maintain documentation and compliance with relevant policies and regulations Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings Qualifications: Valid state license to practice Occupational Therapy required Experience working in school-based settings preferred, especially with elementary-aged children and diverse student populations Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with school staff and families Ability to manage caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain thorough records Benefits: Opportunity to impact student success and well-being Consistent school-year contract schedule Supportive educational environment Qualified Occupational Therapists interested in contributing to student growth in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake schools are encouraged to apply.
