Description

Position Purpose:

Serve the ministry through proper cash handling, payment processing, and customer service at all Conferences & Events. The position requires occasional travel.

Essential Duties:
  • Receive cash, check, or credit card payments for product sales at conferences and events.
  • Adhere to strict cash handling procedures as set by the CFO.
  • Make changes and produce receipts for signature and clientele.
  • Operate Point of Sale equipment.
  • Be responsible for Point of Sale (POS) Equipment.
  • Set up and tear down Point-of-sale equipment and check out the area.
  • Assist with the setup of resources.
  • Attend meetings in the office as needed.
  • Oversee volunteers (ETMs) as required.
  • Travel as needed for GTS and GTC events.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to effectively operate Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to operate Point of Sale equipment.
  • Must be able to follow directions effectively.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to accurately make changes with US currency.
  • Must have or obtain a US passport.
Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and customer service-oriented.
  • Must be able to travel out of town for up to 5 days concurrently including weekends.
  • Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of cash handling, cashier experience required.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience required. Volunteer experience in hospitality or other customer service role may also qualify.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
