Job Summary and QualificationsThe Manager of Rehab Services ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the Rehab Therapy team. As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, the Manager coordinates appropriate staffing levels and treatment schedules and monitors the amount/type/quality of the therapy services provided. The Manager guides the provision of therapeutic care to achieve optimal outcomes and excellence in patient satisfaction. The Manager can also function as a licensed therapist and administer therapy modalities and treatment as prescribed by the licensed physician.
What you will do in this role:
- In this role, you will prepare and implement staffing schedules, Adjusting as needed to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Your role helps determine category of admission (i.e. observation status or inpatient admission) placement on department in absence of case manager.
- You will complete rounding on all therapy staff according to established time frames.
- Your role serves as liaison between patients, family, staff and physicians.
- You identify patient complaints; resolve issues and report to management.
- You will identify and communicate any quality/safety/risk issues to appropriate leader for resolution.
- You will ensure timely, accurate documentation of services, according to hospital and departmental standards.
- You will ensure completion of daily charges.
- Your role compiles reports for chaplaincy services, social services, nursing administration, etc. and assists staff in completing other reports as needed to facilitate communication.
- You will facilitate allocation of appropriate resources to ensure quality.
- Your role authorizes the procurement of supplies, equipment, etc. in emergent situations.
- Your role fosters a culture promoting teamwork to accommodate departmental cooperation throughout the facility.
- You will review various feedback mechanisms and help identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction. Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
- You will lead in a way that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization.
- You will implement evidence-based employee engagement practices.
- Your role identifies development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams. Your role provides coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance.
- You will participate in interviewing applicants for open therapy positions.
- You will assume responsibility for resolving and/or channeling employee grievances, disputes, or concerns according to appropriate procedures.
- Your role administers treatments and physical agents according to specialty, as prescribed by a referring physician.
- You will practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Rehabilitative Science (PT, OT, ST), Required
- 3+ years clinical experience, Required
- Experience in leadership, Preferred
- Currently licensed as a Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist in the state(s) of practice, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville, featuring Sumner Countys only Level II NICU services which hosts spacious LDRP suites and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient services. In addition, our facility is Gold Seal Certified in Total Hip and Total with The Joint Commission.
