As we continue to expand, we are searching for a Card Services Specialist I to join our amazing team

The Card Services Department is responsible for card functions, including but not limited to card issuance, card disputes, card rewards, and gift cards. This position is responsible for assisting the membership and internal staff with card-related issues or questions.

What you'll do:
  • Assists members and staff with questions or issues related to card products and services.
  • Ensures accurate and timely resolution of member or staff questions via proper escalation of questions or issues to a Card Services Specialist II or a member of the management team.
  • Performs card maintenance in both Symitar and applicable card systems.
  • Processes card-related service events via the data system.
  • Supports branches with card issuance and inventory orders.
  • Verifies plastic orders and shipments.
  • Reconciles daily Instant Issue reports and card balances daily.
  • Reviews card usage reports checking for unusual activity, reports any concerns to supervisor.
  • Processes disputes and chargebacks in accordance with Visa, Accel, FISERV, Rules, and regulations.
  • Monitors and responds to card fraud in accordance with established procedures to ensure that members and credit union losses are kept at minimum.
  • Reviews specific CAMS alert(s) and communicates with management.
  • Process redemption requests and clears exceptions on the points processing files.
  • Assists with data collection for department card-related reports.
  • Perform all other card-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with debit and credit cards is preferred, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of card practices and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills.
