It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Work Shift: Mon - Fri 4:30am - 1pmJOB SUMMARY:The Patient Relations Customer Service Representative demonstrates excellent CARES customer service and communication skills; strong critical thinking skills; accurate interpretation of customer needs; efficient processing of requests with maturity, empathy, tact and patience. The Patient Relations Customer Service Representative rounds on patients; acts as liaison during the complaint review process; and assists with CARES customer service program. The Patient Relations Customer Service Representative recognizes that interruptions are work, and reorganizes workload to meet deadlines. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. Must have proficient computer-based application and office equipment skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to maintain logs, create memos, reports and other documents that are professional and grammatically correct. Superior customer service skills, good judgment and problem-solving ability required. Professional appearance and behaviors are a must. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear manner using appropriate grammar and spelling. Highly organized, maintaining a neat and tidy work environment. Proficient multi-tasking skills required. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision.Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in health-related field preferred. Medical terminology and previous customer service relations in a healthcare environment preferred. EPIC medical record relations preferred. Experience in handling confidential materials preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
