We are looking for an experienced Controller who can excel in a dynamic start-up environment, to undertake and supervise all aspects of financial management. We are seeking team members who have an entrepreneurial spirit with an ambition to learn and grow This is a full-time, direct hire position with our client in the transportation services industry.Job DescriptionManage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition across multiple entities.Support month-end and year-end close processTrack Assets/DepreciationAssist in acquiring financing for Assets when applicableMaintain relationship with bankManage the banking and treasury relationship.Ensuring the Companys accounts are reconciledPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsPresent findings and recommendations to managementDirect all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, and required filings and reportsDevelop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controlsCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingEstablish overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of businessAdditional Controller duties as necessaryRequirements5+ years of proven work experience as a Financial Controller or an Accounting Manager ready for the challenge of ControllerBachelors degree in Finance or AccountingExperience with accounting and payroll processing preferably for a services-based company ($20M+ revenue)CPA or CFA nice to havePeople management experienceThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processProactive, detailed-oriented and organized work ethicStrong interpersonal communication skillsExcellent accounting software user and administration skillsStrong proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel, NetSuite and Stitch a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
