The

Director, Premium Audit

will work a hybrid schedule from our

Avon, CT

office

OR

remotely.

The candidate must have 10+ years in Commercial Insurance, specifically Workers Compensation, and General Liability with 5+ years in a premium audit lead or supervisory role. This candidate is responsible for the overall performance of Paragon’s premium audit service to our internal and external customers. Will work collaboratively with Program Managers, Marketing, and Sr management to identify gaps in service and improve the premium audit experience overall. Works in tandem with the premium audit manager to resolve vendor issues. Recommends solutions, implements, and monitors results. Participates in meetings with carrier partners, shares data, reports, and outcomes with appropriate parties. Is well versed in unit statistical reporting issues and manages accordingly. May review and advise on complex audit situations to achieve timely resolutions. Ensures Paragon’s audit guidelines are current and maintained for our auditable programs. May be involved in responding to disputes, follows dispute resolution process to completion. Responsible for maintaining guidelines in accordance with Carrier, industry, and government rules and regulations.

Responsibilities :

Reviews program segments to understand classes of business and trends in audit results. Makes recommendations for changes to existing audit criteria as needed.

Conducts ongoing reviews of vendor and internal operations to optimize timeliness and productivity.

Is proactive, working with audit manager, and program managers to identify areas of improvement in service or quality with both internal staff and external vendor partners.

Utilizes reports and analyzes data to maintain timely audit orders and turnaround times in processing improving unit statistical results.

Provides management team with monthly result reports highlighting service level targets, overall premium results by program.

Remains informed of changes and current information relative to premium audit through independent rating bureaus, NCCI, or ISO industry notifications. Ensures audit guidelines are current with any update to audit rules.

Manages overall performance of vendors, including ongoing contracts, new contract negotiation, approval of monthly invoices.

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree

5-10 years workers compensation and General Liability premium audit

Prior management or Supervisory experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently; with strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.

Experience working with premium audit vendors.

Proficient use of personal computers, software applications, MS Office and ability to manipulate data quickly and accurately, partnering with internal IT or Systems resources for management reporting.

Premium Audit APA designation a plus.
