Our client in Poughkeepsie, NY is looking for a hardworking, motivated Prep Painter to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a great attitude and a passion for quality workmanship. Surface Prep: remove dirt, grease, rust, and paint from the surfaces of industrial machinery. Grinding, sanding, acid washing, priming, and masking surfaces. Mixing and loading paint. Periodically operate a forklift. Operate a chain hoist. Adhere to safety guidelines and wearing safety protective gear: Tyvek Suit and Respirator. (ability to pass a fit test is required) What's Needed? Taking pride in you work High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience: automotive painting, prepping, refinishing, sanding, polishing, blending, masking, and detailing. Understand ratios to mix paint. Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship. Positive, can-do attitude - willing to be trained.
