Logistics and Inventory Specialist

Let us help you make your next big career move a reality What You Will Be Doing: This position is critical for managingasset inventoryand ensuring the availability ofhardware equipmentrequired for site-to-site movement. Key Responsibilities: Procurement and Receiving: Request quotes from vendors based on the Build of Material (BoM) provided by the architect team. Review quotes and create the Purchase Order (PO) request. Sign for and receive incoming equipment. Inventory Management: Sort andinventorynew incoming equipment. Maintain an accurate count of old existing stock (e.g., switches and end-of-life (EOL) equipment). Provide the team with an updated Excel spreadsheet of the current room inventory. Ensure the equipment room remainsorganizedand clear for new deliveries. Asset Lifecycle Management and Database Updates: Update asset inventoryfor future requirements and transfers of equipment between different locations. Update asset database (DB) information when a device is replaced due to RMA. Update asset DB with device status (e.g., in stock, retired, or production). Confirm receipt of equipment orders, gathering all pertinent information (assets, cost elements, locations, installation dates). Create the equipment list using provided templates and gathered data. Activate all project-related assets inSAP, ensuring low-cost items are grouped for depreciation threshold. Complete asset activations by the end of each quarter to maintain accurate financial reporting. Logistics and Team Support: Manage therecycling of obsolete equipmentthrough Sims/E-Waste. Package andship network equipmentupon request from team members or engineers. Connect items to the terminal server as requested by the team. Required Skills & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge ofCisco hardware(familiarity with the hardware itself, not configuration). Knowledge ofServiceNowfor managing Connectivity assets (Active, In Stock & Disposed). Knowledge ofMS O365(Microsoft Office 365). Experience in accuratedata entry and spreadsheet management(e.g., Excel). Demonstrated ability to maintain anorganizedworkspace and manage physical inventory. Desired Skills & Experience: Experience with Purchase Order (PO) creation and quote review processes. Familiarity withSAPfor asset activation or financial reporting. Working knowledge of IT equipment recycling and E-Waste procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift and move equipment (physical requirement based on duties). Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 /hr. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
