The Director role involves working across squads, product areas, and domains to understand insights and develop solutions that fit together in a way that is valuable for the customer and aligned with the business strategy. The role is responsible for identifying and creating best-in-class client experiences for Fidelity's youngest customers. It involves actively participating in and/or leading strategic product development discussions, developing a roadmap of prioritized features and capabilities, breaking down the work into bitesize pieces with well-defined end-points, and leveraging data to prioritize work (in partnership with the Squad Leader and Scrum Master) to deliver value. It requires an understanding of the customer's needs, the ability to define experimentation agendas and assess work against KPIs and revenue targets.

The Expertise and Skill You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 12+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 10+ years of experience
  • Strong business knowledge of financial services and digital client design and technology development experience
  • Experience in developing product offerings for students in middle school through college
  • Experience in selecting and managing vendors
  • Strong analysis skills, a strategic voice, product management skills, and a collaborative approach of delivering efficient client experiences
  • A data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered
  • Ability to think beyond traditional financial services to drive best-in-class experiences. Building credibility and trust with partners and understand how to influence without authority.
  • Thinking strategically about business goals and roadmap how the unique elements fit together - crafting end-to-end client journeys and experiences to address key customer needs. The Team

The Young Customer Product Area was stood up to lead an enterprise strategy to attract and retain our next generation of customers. It is a global team that is supported by multiple business units. The team is responsible for determining the young product strategy, supporting partners outside the product area who are launching work for this segment of customers and working alongside our marketing partners on a goto-market strategy. Within this product area, we will also be developing, ideating, and building products from the ground up. Our goal is to develop a customer-centric ecosystem that will enable us to increase speed to market, while in parallel continuing to deliver simple, but fresh digital experiences.
