Buyer / Planner -- Electronic Components – Full Time
Electronics Manufacturing Services company needs a team player to work with the vendors in our supply chain to purchase and expedite electronic components for manufacturing electronic boards, wire assemblies, box build assemblies, etc...
Experience and Skills required
· 5+ years prior experience as a buyer planner required.
· Experience buying electronic components is a plus and is preferred.
· Computer savvy.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and strong Excel skills.
· Strong organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
· MRP systems knowledge and ability to work in fast paced environment.
Responsible for buying electronic components, wire, hardware, and other associated materials required for Printed Circuit Board, Box Builds, and cable assemblies.
*Prepare purchase orders for approval by analyzing existing production orders against existing inventory levels to ensure minimal levels.
* Respond to customer inquiries on orders, changes, requests, and delivery.
* Expedite PO's w/vendors to insure delivery schedules are met.
* Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files and reports.
* Work w/customer support and warehouse on shortage sheets from contract manufacturers.
Computer savvy - Working knowledge of micro-soft office outlook/word/excel.
Experience buying electronic components a plus. Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
MRP systems knowledge and ability to multi-task.
* Work with purchasing manager on meeting company goals and objectives.
