Immediate opening for a LPN, to manage the Medication Room in a 76 bed NYSDOH Licensed Assisted Living Facility in Hawthorne, NY which caters primarily to the mental health population.
*Position Description:*
The successful candidate will have the ability to provide leadership and supervision to the medication aides.
This is a full time salaried position, Monday – Friday, day shift. No weekends. No holidays.
*Qualifications:*
\*Must have 2 years experience working with mental health and/or medication administration
\*Current NYS LPN License
\*Caring attitude towards those in need of care.
\*The ability to motivate and evaluate paraprofessional personnel.
\*Leadership abilities in management of the paraprofessional team.
*Responsibilities:*
\*Ensure safe and adequate services to each resident.
\*Manage and oversee the Medication Management Program.
\*Assist with the administration of medication to the residents in the absence of the medication aide.
\*Communicate and coordinate care with Physicians.
\*Assist in the supervision of the Direct Care Staff.
\*Maintain strict confidentiality of information.
