Productive Resources ( ) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Mossville, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will have the responsibility for developing and validating high voltage electrical systems and supporting ePowertrain integration for electrification programs (including diesel-electric, battery-electric, and fuel cell-electric machines), through New Technology Introduction and New Product Introduction phases from concept through validation and production.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Development and cascade of controls and components design requirements as a system integrator developing robust ePowertrain systems for large mining equipment.
- Simulation of HV DC electrical systems including inverters, converters, and electrical machines.
- On-site machine build, commissioning and troubleshooting support.
- Troubleshooting and analysis of field data; including participation in lab testing.
- Creating electrical sub-system diagrams.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of electronic or electrical design, system integration, harnessing, or software experience.
- Excitement about developing electric powered machines.
- Willingness to learn about new technologies.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills on prototype machines.
- Experience using simulation tools including Matlab/Simulink, Ansys Twin Builder, LT Spice, and PLECS.
- Data analysis and machine controls development experience using Vector CANape and CANalyzer.
- Machine electrical system integration experience.
- Experience driving common solutions across multiple platforms to reduce engineering effort.
- Working Knowledge of CAN Communications and Datalink Network Diagrams.
- Working Knowledge of the Cat machine software development process and software requirements writing.
- Knowledge and Experience with FMEAs.
- Experience with machines utilizing greater than 60V.
- Experience with electric machine components such as motors, power electronics, fuel cells, batteries, etc.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
