Small but growing structural engineering firm located in Jacksonville Beach specializing in commercial / residential low rise building design. Position available for Structural Proffesional Engineer PE.

Responsibilities:

  • To be the Engineer of Record for projects.
  • You will work alongside EIT's and drafters to generate structural construction documents.
  • Perform structural calculations for building structures including wood, steel, masonry and concrete.
  • Use AutoCAD & Revit to generate drawings and sketches.
  • Participate in project meetings and conference calls.
  • Perform on-site structural inspections.
  • Work with and direct drafters to create construction documents.
  • Handle field calls and provide sketches for projects currently being built.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structures from an ABET accredited university
  • Completed coursework in structural analysis, strength of materials, reinforced concrete design, and steel design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5 years plus of experience in design of building structures
  • Passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam
  • Have PE license and the ability to get a FLorida PE License

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed college coarse in wood, masonry and cold-formed steel design
  • Ability to work within both AutoCAD and Revit.

Sabo Structural Engineering is a structural engineering firm located in Jacksonville Beach. We specialize in low-rise structures including commercial and residential. Typical commercial projects include retail, religious structures, restaurants, commercial additions, and multi-family apartments. Residential projects include high end custom homes, ocean front homes, additions and structural assessments. We have designed structures with all materials including wood framing, masonry, concrete, and steel.
