Job Purpose

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The Senior Accountant will work closely with Accounts Payable, Treasury, Subsidiary Controllers, Accounting Managers, and The Chief Accounting Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Book and reconcile daily bank activity
  • Verify invoices for bill pay approval and ensure payments are charged to the
    appropriate accounts
  • Responsible for the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Record journal entries for accrual accounting
  • Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents for annual audit
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional leadership team focused on operational aspects of the various businesses
  • Learn and transfer relevant accounting knowledge to the broader team
  • Attend on-camera Teams calls
  • Take on special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 4 + years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience handling full cycle accounting including income statement and balance sheet
  • Healthy curiosity to learn and understand complex accounting processes
  • Positive Mental Attitude with strong internal drive
  • Ability to take ownership and to be accountable
  • Superb Excel Skills
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills working with large complex data sets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to grow and accept more responsibility
  • Able to manage competing priorities while meeting critical deadlines
  • Experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint
Travel Component
  • < 10%
Working Conditions
  • Extensive desk-based work involving prolonged periods using a computer and sitting for extended periods
  • Frequent interaction with team members, management, agents, Business Development Managers, and external partners to facilitate smooth operations and collaborations
