We are hiring Control Engineers and Control Technicians to work full-time in Toledo, Ohio. One will be hired to work the Second Shift and the other to work the Third Shift.

These Control Engineers will be responsible for the research, design, develop, test, repair, and supervision of the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for repeatability and reproducibility in a manufacturing environment.

SECOND SHIFT: 2 PM-10 AM from Monday - Friday

THIRD SHIFT: 10 PM-6 AM from Monday - Friday

Summary of essential job functions

  • Prepare technical drawings and/or specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Confer with Leadership, customers, vendors or suppliers to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
  • Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
  • Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for manufacturing purposes.
  • Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of the problem, and recommend remedial measures.
  • Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Minimum requirements

  • 1+ years related work experience
  • Preferred experience with Allen-Bradley Processors or equivalent, Fanuc Robotics, Panasonic Robots, and other devices and/or equipment used in the manufacturing process of a high-volume metal stamping facility.
  • Troubleshooting experience required
  • Programming experience preferred.
