Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to manage internal material movements, load and unload trailers, and ensure efficient inventory management. This role involves operating a forklift, material scanner, and other machinery to support the logistics and warehouse operations. Responsibilities: Operate a forklift for internal material movements and finished goods if needed. Load trailers for outbound shipments and unload trailers, delivering materials to their proper supermarket or point of use (POU). Count raw materials and process returns to maintain accurate inventory records and adjust in SAP according to findings. Dispatch trailers as needed to prevent line downtime. Identify and process scrap or RTV product as needed, and communicate with quality to remedy issues. Meet with internal customers regularly to determine current and future needs. Maintain acceptable performance standards for safety, quality, delivery, and general housekeeping. Operate a material scanner to make movements in the inventory management system. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills: Forklift operation and material handling experience. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. 2 or more years of experience operating comparable machinery including forklift, scissor lift, and semi-truck. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to pass internal PIT course for forklift certification and maintain certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with inventory management systems, particularly SAP. Why Work Here? Overtime is optional, and there are voluntary Saturday morning shifts available. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cartersville, GA.
