Position Overview: Are you ready to bring your financial expertise to a non-profit that's shaking up the status quo? We're looking for an Assistant Controller to help us navigate the exciting world of non-profit finance. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse team, contribute to strategic initiatives, and make a real difference in our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Dive into the numbers and help us maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
  • Partner with our Controller to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Keep a close eye on budgets and expenses, ensuring we're making the most of our resources.
  • Collaborate with program managers and department heads to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Support audits and compliance efforts to ensure we're meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Take the lead on special projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and efficiency gains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
