Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for timely month end close completion, including close collaboration with the Staff Accountant to ensure completion of activities impacting the close.
  • Complete timely balance sheet reconciliations and other analyses for areas of accountability.
  • Ensure accuracy of banking activities via completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure credit limits, discounts and other attributes are in accordance with company policy and collaborate with Staff to ensure proper collections coverage.
  • Perform a daily review of sales orders placed and determine if the shipment is warranted based on account status and generate warehouse documents.
  • Maintain pricing, monthly promotional campaign pricing and customer concessions and any sales order pricing adjustments.
  • Responsible for rebates accruals and payments to customers according to company policy.
  • Analyze and adjust inventory and receivables provisions as well other accruals such as audit and tax.
  • Calculate, record and transmit sales commissions for independent sales reps on a monthly basis.
  • Track and reconcile Inter-company accounts with the parent company.
  • Calculate provisions in line with group policies.
  • Responsible for inventory transactions, including receipts, invoices, cycle counts and any associated adjustments.
  • Help implement process improvements, group and local policies, and provide feedback on cost savings initiatives.
  • Assist the Controller in preparing the monthly reporting package to be presented to headquarters.
  • Assist the Controller in annual budget process as well as quarterly budget reviews.
  • Directly interface with audit team, internal and external, as needed.
  • Perform adhoc requests as directed by Controller.
Requirements:
  • 3 plus years of accounting experience
  • BS in accounting preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Results oriented, flexible, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet closing and reporting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Team player willing to lend a hand in times of need.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of work completed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision a plus.
