Financial Analyst/Accounting Specialist

Job Title: Financial Planning & Analyst
Mission/Objective: Ensure and provide reliable and timely financial information of the Plant, generating analysis for decision making, as well as the detection of areas of opportunity and identification of problems and business risks. Lead budgeting and forecasting to steer the Plant's strategic direction. Engage actively in internal control procedures and provide valuable support for both internal and finance audits.
What does your typical day look like?
- Prepare Plant weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts as well as annual budget (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and free cash flow) in conjunction with the operative areas, validating and questioning the main variations, meeting the deadlines according to the central and SBU areas calendar
- Activities related to Month end process, journal entry, Accounts reconciliation
- Develop, analyze, and present Premortem reports of new projects, as well as Postmortem reports of actual products
- Track results from Investment Projects (Capex) and/or Tooling vs Budget and vs Forecasts
- Validate savings initiatives (determination of impact on financial statements)
- Support in various activities related to new projects and quotations, as well as price economic recovery with internal customers (value proposition & Commercial)
- Follow up on the Metalsa Property Management System (MAB), as well as general monitoring compliance with Metalsa and Proeza Internal Control Policies and Procedures
- Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key drivers of financial performance and areas for improvement.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis to facilitate decision making of top managers.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to drive process improvements, enhance financial reporting capabilities, and streamline financial planning processes
- Analyze financial performance by product identifying causes of unexpected variance vs Budget, vs Forecast, vs Quotation to provide insights and recommendations to management (Variance analysis)
- Execute the Internal Control, Internal & External Audit, Statutory Reporting, Continuous improvement administrative process and controls, etc.
- Provide financial information for strategic business analysis (local, regional, and global strategic meetings).
- Provide analytical information on the financial results of the Plant.
- Meet the deadlines for the Budget and Forecasts calendar with the necessary liability on the information.
- Bachelors in Accounting, Administration or Economy Degree
- 4-5 yrs. of Experience in financial information, budget preparation and Monitoring
- Experience in Automotive or Manufacturing industry
- Experience in Auditing (Preffered)
- Accounting
- Management of Budget systems & forecasts
- Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
