The Hickory Tavern is looking for a friendly, hospitality minded, team player to join our server team. The Hickory Tavern has an energetic, high volume, atmosphere and our team works together to ensure all of our guests have an experience that will bring them back to see us.

Functions:.
  • Greet all guests with a smile and a sincere welcome
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests.
  • Collect payment (credit cards, cash) for drinks and/or food served following company established accounting procedures for all transactions.
  • Ring in all orders into Micros and process payments properly
  • Maintains table appearance through a commitment to timely and thorough prebussing.
  • Keeps section clean, sets up and takes down server drink station.
  • Performs opening, running and closing side work.
  • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Assists other Team Members as needed.
Requirements
  • Operate POS, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift.
  • Stand/walk for 6 to 8 hours per shift.
  • Reach, lift and bend, frequently.
  • Deliver plates, food, & clear tables which may require lifting as much as 30lbs.
  • Read and write English.
  • Verbalize and clearly respond to Guests.
  • Be friendly and smile
