Overview:

The IT Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing and guiding the implementation of the IT infrastructure and systems architecture to support the strategic goals of a manufacturing company producing distribution transformers. This role involves evaluating current systems, recommending technological solutions to improve operations, and ensuring the scalability and security of the IT environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive IT architecture strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and manufacturing needs.
  • Assess current IT infrastructure and systems, identifying areas for improvement, and integrating new technologies to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of IT solutions and vendors, ensuring the best fit for the company's strategic and operational requirements.
  • Establish architecture governance processes and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across IT projects and initiatives.
  • Advocate for and lead the adoption of IT best practices, including security, data management, and system integration.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends and innovations, evaluating their potential impact on the company's IT strategy and manufacturing capabilities.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, with extensive experience in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman, and preferably with a certification like the TOGAF Certified Enterprise Architect, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, or a related strategic IT role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and the role of IT in enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity technologies.
