Job Title: Pharmacy Sr Tech I/On Call/UKHC - Markey Cancer Center Department Name: H3330: Pharmacy Services Work Location: Lexington, Kentucky Salary Range: $18.50/hr - $27.31/hr Type of Position: Temporary Position Time Status: On Call Required Education: High School Required Related Experience: 1yr work experience Required License/Registration/Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification and Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Physical Requirements: May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Shift: 6:00a-7:00p Monday through Friday and 7:00a-5:00p on Saturday and Sunday. 1-4 days a week Job Summary: Assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital and outpatient infusion setting. Prepares and compounds individual patient doses, primarily sterile hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications for adult and pediatric populations in accordance with current USP guidelines. Maintains a sterile work environment with specified cleaning procedures. Assists pharmacist and other technicians with inventory management of materials and medications.

/ Knowledge / Abilities: Knowledge of inpatient drug distribution systems; ability to prioritize; strong customer service skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
