Position Description
We are searching for a Housekeeper to join our team In this role, the Housekeeper would be responsible for general cleaning duties of the Health Care common areas, recreational areas, and resident rooms. Depending upon the location, this may include general cleaning duties of the retirement apartments and houses on Arbor Acres campus.
Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas of health care which include common areas, recreational areas, and residential areas. Depending upon the location, this may include all areas of houses and apartments including, but not limited to; bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and all living areas.
- Proper use of personal protection equipment and proper use of all chemical and equipment needed to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the residents, family members, and staff of Arbor Acres.
- Vacuum all required areas.
- Mop all required areas.
- Make beds, change linens, empty trash, pay special attention to cobwebs and additional needs to ensure that health care is above Arbor Acres cleanliness standards to include both all areas (healthcare and houses/apartments).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk extensively, to squat, bend, kneel, climb to reach 8 ft. ceilings, reach above shoulders and lift 30 lbs.
- Needs sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch.
- Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Must be able to successfully complete the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program. This program assists in determining whether applicants/employees are able to safely perform essential job functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Minimum Experience
1.Prefer two years experience but will consider training a proper candidate.
