Provides clinical services to patients, maintains equipment and materials and assists with Section activities.Join the Cleveland Clinic team, where you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.A caregiver in this position works 8am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday.A caregiver who excels in this role, will:Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures and evaluates communication and swallowing function of terpret and reports test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.Provide counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and their families.Determine therapeutic plan, including need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy.Select assistive speech devices to improve patient's communication.Perform re-evaluation to determine progress after therapy.Provide observations about hearing and other behavior to help determine need for other services.Maintain records of all municate results and recommendations for improving communicative function to referral sources and outside agencies such schools and employers.Maintains speech pathology equipment and materials.Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting, purchase of new equipment or materials.Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.Must hold or be eligible for a Speech-Language Pathology License (SP) from the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.Must hold (SP) license in current state upon start date.Holds Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).Completed nine month Clinical Fellowship Year.Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Prior experience with AAC preferred.Open to new grads with CCC.Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
