Who You Are: This position requires a highly motivated individual who is looking to expand their knowledge and join a successful company. The position requires previous experience in estimating or similar role within a manufacturing environment. What You will Be Doing: Review customer take-offs and material quantities to prepare a cost estimate Prepare detailed quotes and submit to customers and answer any related inquiries Analyze job specification sheets to assist customer with choosing proper product as specified by architects. Use material and other essential cost to calculate responsible dollar quotes for quote requests. Logs all quotes and estimates into Axapta order entry system or other log. Price negotiation Submittal packages and closeout documents Update estimates, schedules, reports and documents based on revisions and changes to the project. Work closely with Sales Reps, customer service, and management to deliver accurate quotes and reliable quotes to customers Follow up by phone with customers to get current feedback on quote and project information. Follow all established protocols to assure correct pricing and customer satisfaction. Provide product performance data as required Other duties/projects as assigned. Skills You Bring: College degree not required, but preferred Two years estimating/sales experience in architectural glass or related manufacturing environment. Must have excellent follow through and communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments. Vendor and supply chain familiarity Basic mathematical skills to include working with measurements, fractions, and decimals.
