ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.

Position Summary

Medical Technologist Supervisors oversee the operation of the ECU Health Medical Center department of Pathology during times when lab managers are not on site. The Medical Technologist Supervisor serves as the General Supervisor as defined by CLIA-88 Federal Regulations.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a biological, chemical, or physical science from an accredited institution Bachelor's degree with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry, obtained within or in addition to the degree is also acceptable 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification as MLS, BB, C, H or MB by ASCP or other nationally recognized certifying agency

Other Information 40 hours a week Nights (7 on / 7 off) Required to work rotational weekends Great Benefits
