**Job Description:**

**Starting wage is based on experience and shift. In addition to a base wage, every associate is eligible for quarterly profit sharing Various shifts are available and off shifts include additional shift differential pay.**

**Buyer/Planner**

This role is responsible for the timely replenishment of materials, the maintenance of inventory accuracy, and the daily service to support the supply chain needs of the operations team.

**Essential Job Functions**

* Communicate to suppliers purchase requirements, changes, and delivery deadlines

* Execute of the planning and replenishment of materials to support production requirements through the utilization of various computer systems and other planning tools

* Create and maintain requisitions, purchase orders, acknowledgements, and resolve receipt/invoice issues

* Monitor and expedite deliveries on assigned items

* Interfacing with vendors with respect to price, availability of materials, delivery, lead time, etc.

* Assist in production planning / scheduling

* Assist other supply chain staff with identified projects and programs in regards to continuous improvement

* Engaged in inventory analysis, cycle counts, materials, maintenance, and reconciliation

**Ideal Candidate Profile**

* Operational knowledge of the procurement process.

* Proficiency in computing and Microsoft Office products- Strong Excel experience is a must.

Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable negotiating with suppliers

* Ability to work autonomously and within a team centered atmosphere with strong critical thinking skills.

* Ability to independently research, analyze data, and present opportunities/proposed solutions for improvement

* Strong knowledge of Oracle or comparable ERP systems

* Understanding of how Kanban systems work

* Basic math skills required
