ABOUT THE ROLE

Amsted Automotive Group - Powder Metal Facility is looking for a full time furnace operator to perform duties to efficiently and effectively assist in the operation and set-up of furnaces. 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm

Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Process quality parts to process specifications.
  • Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects.
  • Load and unload parts as required.
  • Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.
  • Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job.
  • Maintain a zero defect mentality and be quality conscious.
  • Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process, including the EDIS program
  • Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Previous manufacturing experience helpful
  • Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
