OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Business Advisory Services client engagement team. This individual leads most engagements with supervision from a Supervisor or Partner. The Senior Accountant is tasked with reviewing staff work and providing outstanding client service to our Business clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior Accountants' duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining multiple client relationships and providing consulting and accounting services in a proactive manner
Preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial statements
Preparing/reviewing bank reconciliations and other account analysis
Helping clients with closing the books and creating adjusting journal entries
Assisting clients in getting their books and records in good financial order
Preparing timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting workpapers
Assisting the business with understanding and implementing internal controls and key business management policies
Supervision of staff and ability to be a "go-to" resource for staff and clients
Becoming a Trusted Business Advisor to your clients
Knowledge and Skills:
QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience, ProAdvisor a plus
Experience with QuickBooks project consulting, training and implementations
Experience in compilations and reviews
Experience in preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial statements
Ability to work with multiple clients, staff and managers
Prior advisory and supervision experience preferred
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or associate's degree with appropriate experience
3+ years accounting experience, public accounting experience desired, minimally as a full-charge bookkeeper
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of excel and word
Ability to multi-task and meet or exceed deadlines
Self-starter and ability to work independently
Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
