Description

The Logistics Supervisor will be a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products throughout our organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Lead, coordinate, and assist with all aspects of shipping and receiving operations

•Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency

•Oversee control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize waste

•Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing events, such as kaizen workshops, to identify and implement process improvements

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve logistics-related issues and ensure timely delivery of products to customers

•Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas of improvement

•Complete performance reviews (annual and mid-year)

•Train, coach and mentor warehouse team members to enhance their skills and capabilities

•Be a safety champion, leading safety initiatives within the warehouse department

•Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

•Fill in for warehouse technicians as needed

•Other duties as required

Requirements

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

This position requires hazmat training, safety and general awareness training, basic math and communication skills and export training.

•Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred

•3+ years' of supervisory experience preferred

•Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

•Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies

•Proficiency in logistics software and systems

•Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions

•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
