As a member of the logistics organization, the Logistics Planner-Warehousing will support the Regional Warehouse Manager. They will assist warehouse managers in assigned region including with inventory capacity reviews, establishing best practices, provide on-site training, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage operational improvement along with warehousing/distribution inventory optimization.
• Support On-Site projects within assigned locations as required.
• Analyze inventory levels and supports the development of a replenishment strategy with Supply Chain
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reductions leading action to realize improvements
• Analyze inventory levels in assigned locations and drive reduction of aged inventory.
• Assist in analyzing current network and advise on current capacity/utilization of all warehouses.
• Implement best in class warehousing processes and practices that drive operational efficiencies.
• Lead racking optimization projects on site with assigned teams.
• Implement best practice logistics principles, policies and, processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
• Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics processes
• Lead a safety culture throughout department. Support all safety initiatives.
• Undertakes other special projects and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or closely related equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics preferred.
• Experience in planning software, logistics scheduling, BI tools, and WMS/TMS systems.
• Ability to lead in a team setting, solid written, verbal communication & interpersonal skills.
• Above average knowledge of North American Geography related to freight lanes and back haul opportunities.
• Ability to present and work at all organizational levels, internally & externally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related Office applications.
• Experience with data analytics and analytic software.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, process, and execute value added project work that results in bottom line savings for the company.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, participate in, and lead teams.
• Six Sigma, White Belt, Black Belt training preferred.
• Willingness to travel when required-Up to 40%
