About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Credit Risk Acquisitions to lead the development and optimization of strategies that balance risk and profitability within set parameters. This role is pivotal in driving the enhancement of customer account acquisition and will involve owning and managing both front-end and back-end credit risk strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating targeting, new data sources, and product/price optimization across the credit spectrum. Key responsibilities include the development of new strategies, leveraging advanced analytical tools, and delivering strategic roadmaps for the team's work. The role also requires collaboration across various business functions to execute high-impact projects and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience in financial services, card issuing, consumer credit, or banking. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years' experience in managing a high-performing team is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in SAS/SQL, possess excellent project management skills, and have a strong background in financial analysis and profitability drivers. A fundamental knowledge of credit scoring, underwriting, and credit risk management is required, along with familiarity with credit card industry concepts and practices. The role demands a strategic thinker who is adept at prioritizing and can quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.
