Project Overview - RME/SMS

RME (Responsibility Management and Entitlements) is a state of the art, collaborative set of cloud native services that provide infrastructure systems and LOB applications with the capability to design, deploy and execute their entitlement policies. It provides a high-level declarative language that lets applications specify policy as code and use simple APIs to offload policy decision-making from your software.

RME is widely deployed within the firms private cloud PaaS environment and is the standard/best-practice entitlements solution for the evolving public cloud initiative.

SMS (Secrets Management Service) is an established enterprise solution that manages credentials for internal applications. SMS provides a secure way to store credentials so client can prevent exposing them in their application and they are safely delivered into their native cloud container as well as into native vm.

Required: 5-7 years of experience in programming quality, secure and maintainable code

We are seeking a hands-on Development Lead for the RME/SMS product teams

Develop RESTful micro-services with

Java/Groovy

Spring/Spring-boot frameworks

Knows Software Development Life Cycle process well, Design, develop, test and automate tests

CICD platforms like Gitlab, and tools like IntelliJ, Junit, Spock, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium and JMeter for development, testing, coverage, debugging and performance

Extended Skills:

Angular front end development experience desirable

RDBMS schema design, JPA, JPQL and native SQL experience desirable

OPA and Rego experience

Responsibilities:

Lead and/or help with technical design, development and documentation of multi-platform applications

Participate in code reviews. Work with other engineers to improve technology and apply best practices throughout SDLC

Support and enhance existing systems and platforms

Work with data engineers, business users, service clients and project managers to create value-added solutions

Present and demo team products and services to potential users, including senior tech leaders and business teams

Suggest improvements. Balance functional evolution and technical currency

Call Notes

Candidate will be split between a couple of teams

Candidate should complete an online test or Q&A session that will be included at the bottom of the resume for manager consideration... assessment will ideally include Java, some Spring, and even some Angular

60-70% will be focused on the back end

Angular 12+ and Java 8+

Knowledge of microservices architecture is required

Previous CI/CD experience is a big plus

Infrastructure/resiliency/scalability experience is big plus

Groovy is a plus but not required

Previous experience in authorization or the entitlements space is a big plus

1 interview about an hour long

Conversion to FTE is ideal but not promised at this time... candidate would need to be local to NY/NJ, Pittsburgh, or Lake Mary if converting
