Duties & Responsibilities: Work from blueprints/sketches and work under direction of classified Fitter-WeldersPerform welding operations on varying metals/alloysBurn/trim excess stockDetermine proper settings of welding current, voltage and gas mixture Determine need for and make simple fixtures/jigs as appropriateUse hand and power tools to cut, drill, punch etcDress weld seams and joints as needed and repair work as neededResponsible for maintenance of welding equipmentClean and replace liners in welding gunMaintaining clean and neat working conditions Qualifications: High School Diploma (or GED) 1-3 months related experience/trainingAbility to read and comprehend short correspondence/memos Mathematical skillsAbility to follow oral instruction and follow safer operating proceduresPhysical Demands: Frequent standingFrequent walkingClimb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawlFrequently required to lift 10-25 lbs
