Description

Hub Pen Company, part of the HPG Brands, is an award-winning supplier in the promotional products industry supplying imprinted quality writing instruments to its distributors throughout the United States and Canada. This is a career opportunity to join our dynamic, fast growing, privately held company, and become part of our winning team.

We are looking to hire a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team.

Position Summary: As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for pulling, staging, and loading/stocking of products from containers and trucks. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always.

Key Responsibilities:

•Unloading incoming containers from suppliers

•Pulls products from the appropriate location and delivers to staging area

•Sorts and places products and supply on racks, shelves, or in bins according to requirements

•Responds to internal customer request immediately by receiving order, pulling product

•Verifies in-stock quantity on product for inside sales

•Checks in defective parts and enters into computer system for return to vendor

•Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Recommended Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent preferred
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Experience in warehouse/distribution center
  • You must also work well as part of a team and be willing to work long hours when necessary
  • Chinese and Vietnamaese languages preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and meet medium level physical exertion requirements, including lifting to 30 pounds continuously

•Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork

•Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction

•Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills

•Warehouse and forklift experience is a plus

Physical Skills:

•Utilization of warehouse equipment like forklift, and the capacity to lift up to 45 pounds regularly,

•Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, or crouch.

Motor Skills:

•Duties may involve hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.

Visual Skills:

•Ability to read, see, and differentiate between color.
