Job DetailsJob LocationGordon Countryside Care - Gordon, NESalary Range$17.77 DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThis position performs day-to-day maintenance functions in compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility.CORE ACCOUNTABILITIESAssists with monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring the safe and efficient function and operation of all buildings, equipment, systems and grounds, in a proactive manner.Assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and physical structures including all aspects to plumbing, pipe, and electrical systems in the facility.Performs ground maintenance including snow and ice removal, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse in a timely and efficient manner. Assists the director of environmental services in setting maintenance practices and completing maintenance projects. Assists developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks. Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsSCOPE OF IMPACTMaintenance Technicians are responsible for the general upkeep and care of assigned areas to ensure daily operations of the facility run safely and efficiently.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience:Must be 18 years of age or olderBasic electrical/mechanical experience preferredLicensure and Certification: Valid Nebraska Driver's LicenseKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:Electricity, electrical equipment, and electric motorsTools and grounds keeping equipmentGeneral HVAC equipmentGeneral steam equipmentPlumbingGeneral constructionSkills in:Identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method or performance. Effective communication.Trouble shooting.Ability to:Write reports and correspondence.Generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance, and organizational policy/procedures.Problem solve while working in stressful situations.Work in various weather conditions.
