Credit Process Review Analyst I

Job Purpose & Scope
Reviews specific data points supporting Commercial Credit Underwriting to analyze and assure a quality risk rating is obtained. Works with loan types including, but not limited to, corporate, commercial and industrial, and commercial real estate transactions. Reviews will include newly generated loans, modifications, annual reviews, etc.
Essential Job Functions
+ Reviews defined data points and ensures accuracy on both As Approved and As Closed risk ratings assigned daily.
+ Reviews financial statements, underwriter workbooks, credit memos, appraisals, and any other information used to make credit a decision, as it relates to ensuring the integrity of the Commercial Credits underwriting guidelines and principles.
+ Communicates effectively with individual underwriters on the status/needed updates of pending risk rating reviews.
+ Manages assigned risk rating reviews, ensuring they are handled efficiently and processed in a timely manner, consistent with the Banks standards.
+ Communicates with underwriters and management regarding issues or challenges concerning risk rating reviews, when merited.
+ Responsible for data quality during the loan review and determining the As Approved and As Closed credit risk ratings.
+ Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
+ Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
+ Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Knowledge of general financial principles.
+ Ability and desire to learn bank regulations related to the Office of Foreign Asset Control, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Anti-Money Laundering Act, and the USA PATRIOT Act.
+ Ability to work without close supervision.
+ Ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.
+ Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
+ Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree, preferably in Business or Accounting, or commensurate work experience, required.
+ Minimum of one (1) year of credit underwriting and/or financial analysis work experience, preferred.
