Overview:

First National Bank of America is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented entry level Data Engineer to join the Business Intelligence Group. This will provide technical assistance for the support and maintenance of our data analysis services. The Associate Data Engineer will work with senior level data engineers to develop an understanding of our data transformation operations and the technology that supports these operations. This role will collaborate with the data engineering team to learn and implement the established development patterns we use to support a clean and safe codebase.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a standard rate of throughput for completion of common data engineering tasks
  • Learn SQL programming strategies at an intermediate level and be ready to apply these strategies to our standard data transformation operations
  • Learn the basic components of the FNBA data warehouse model and the data transformation strategies that have been implemented within this model
  • Develop within the guidelines of our published SQL strategies list and be ready to participate in discussions on how those strategies can be implemented most effectively
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with data engineering
  • Understanding of data warehousing
  • Fast learner with strong attention to detail
  • Some background in SQL would be beneficial
