Maintenance Technician Currently hiring 2nd/3rd shift Maintenance Technicians in the Northwest IN area paying up to $35 an hour. We have three openings: 1 on the 2nd shift from 1:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday to Friday, and 1 on the 3rd shift from 8:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Friday, with possible overtime on Friday and Saturday. Job Description Perform mechanical and electrical repairs for mill equipment and industrial machinery. Respond to equipment breakdowns and execute necessary repairs. Troubleshoot motors, fuses, relays, gear boxes, encoders, and PLCs. Handle troubleshooting and maintenance of hydraulic systems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical motors, air compressors, fans, and pumps. Fabricate, assemble, and test mechanical system parts. Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and order parts. Perform additional duties such as painting, plumbing, and general maintenance. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including PLCs and automation. Experience with hydraulic troubleshooting. Computer knowledge, with CMMS preferred. Experience in electrical troubleshooting of motors, relays, and sensors. Willingness to undertake additional schooling. Work Environment We have a team-oriented culture where each maintenance person collaborates with another technician. The dress code includes metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves. Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Gary, IN.
