Our client has retained our services to hire a full-time Distribution Center / Warehouse Manager in Lincoln, NE

The Warehouse Manager is responsible and held accountable for delivering, maintaining, enforcing, and executing the distribution operations within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Safeguards operations and contents by establishing and monitoring procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; and reconciling with WMS and ERP systems.
Maintains physical condition of operations by planning and implementing innovative design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Achieves financial objectives by managing weekly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.
Manages by walking around.
Completes distribution operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following work performance and productivity.
Maintains distribution staff by selecting, interviewing, on-boarding, and training employees.
Maintains distribution staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops when available.
Adhere to customer requirements.
Deliver excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
Partners with HR regarding employee relations issues.

Qualifications :

Requires 7-10 years of knowledge and experience in distribution, receiving, and inventory control or materials management preferably in a cold storage or manufacturing environment.
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years prior applicable supervisory experience.
Candidate must demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others.
Experience working in a team-oriented environment
Candidate must demonstrate attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Requires effective and professional oral and written communication skills
Required previous experience in managing a budget, forecasting, and analyzing labor standards.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the methodologies of Lean Continuous Improvement and apply these concepts where applicable in the operation.
Proven safety management experience
Ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
Show systems and continuous improvement orientation.
Ability to problem analysis and resolution
A college degree is preferred.
Bilingual is preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Operates in a

warehouse/manufacturing

facility.
Requires the ability to perform work in different elements of the operation between a warehouse environment and a general office environment.
Will work in a cold and wet environment.
Will require lifting to 45 to 60 pounds
Will be standing most of the shift along with bending and twisting.
