This position will act as a liaison between the shop floor and engineering and will support the planning and development of new product designs.Primary Responsibilities:Maintain continuous communication with engineering to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, and project issues.Maintain continuous communication and provide technical direction with(to) shop floor to maintain constant alignment with manufacturing.Develop electrical load calculations and power distribution documentation.Create block diagrams and schematics based on input requirements.Support Customer meetings, conference calls, and site visits as required.Work effectively in a project team environment.Required Skills:Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.2 - 4 years AC and DC system and component design experience.2 - 4 years shop manufacturing / construction experience.Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent.Working knowledge of NFPA 70.Proficiency in MSOffice applications.Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Skills:1 - 2 years custom truck, 5th wheel and/or drawbar, or RV design experience.NEC classroom training and certificate.Ability to design and program PLC, HMI, and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment.Physical Skills:Ability to sit for extended periods of time.Required to stand, walk, and use hands.Must be able to position self to move, bend, and lift up to 75-lbs.Ascend/descend on ladders and move around /within custom mobile solutions.Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.Craftsmen Industries (and its subsidiaries) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
