Project Engineer - Space & Defense

Your role and responsibilities

Interact directly with project managers and clients to understand their needs and iterate over requirements. Coordinate a multidisciplinary project team with Agile methodology. Follow up on technical actions and plan short-term schedules. Define effort required to meet objectives and follow-up on estimates. Assist project manager in strategic and execution planning, project costs follow-up. Manage system requirements, oversee system design and conformity, monitor system performances, manage technical risks. Make presentations in French and English to clients and technical team during design reviews and project milestones. Develop and improve systems engineering tools, including Model-based Systems Engineering.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with 8 years of experience as a system leader or senior system engineer. Solid experience in infrared optical instrumentation development for space missions or remote sensing. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to deliver clear project documentation and configure management for documents and products. Work within standard procedures and methodologies for operational space, provide inputs for space 2.0. Proficiency in Magic Draw, JIRA, Windchill, MS-Project, Office suite. Bilingual English-French (spoken and written).
