Shift(s): 4th shift: Thurs 11:00pm – 4:30am; Fri – Sun 5:00pm – 4:30am Location: 1110 Military Parkway, Mesquite, TX 75149 Summary The Shift Lead will report to the On-Site Manager and under their general supervision, is responsible for overseeing the employees on their shift that perform all of the essential duties in a Distribution Center. The Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring employees are maximizing overall productivity during each shift, while adhering to the highest safety standards. The Yard Truck Operator position is responsible for moving loaded and unloaded trailers around the Reverse Logistic Center, as needed. The operator is responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of trailers to maximize the efficiency of the operation. The Forklift Operator portion moves pallets and other materials through the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Communicate expectations and goals daily, weekly, and monthly to the employees to meet Relogistics performance standards. Promote a safe working environment and help ensure safety standards are met under the direction of the On-Site Manager. Conduct safety meetings with employees and establish expectations. Communicate to customers any needs or concerns. Coach, train, provide feedback, and hold employees accountable as necessary. Complete all production paperwork with accuracy. Communicate directly with the On-Site Manager regarding any employee issues. Load and unload materials from trailers. Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility. Stack pallets or materials correctly, following inventory control instructions. Check to make sure loads are secure. Ensure all daily equipment checks on all industrial power equipment are performed. Follow instructions for operating equipment and keep accurate records. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Organize and maintain file systems, file correspondence, and other records. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner. Assist with forklift driver duties as needed, including operating a forklift for supplying and retrieving pallets or materials. Maintain a clean and safe working environment that meets Relogistics standards. Education and/or Experience Supervisor or Lead experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent. Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail along with basic computer skills. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees. Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and air particulate. Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and use hands to handle, feel, and reach. The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Must have a good sense of balance and good eye-hand-foot coordination. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Relogistics Services, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
